Habitat: Woodland and hedgerows.

Size: Height 50 cm (20 in). Flower 14-20 mm (0.55-0.79 in)

Flowering Period: Early April to late June. April till June.

Particularly associated with ancient woodland.

The seeds are black, and germinate on the soil surface.
